FoAFB Roadtrip to UNM: Bus
trip is being planned for the NM game February 20th. Go to the Special Project page for complete
information (Go) 2010 Air Force Falcons Men's Basketball Alumni Homecoming was a success on January 29th and 30th. Coach
Jeff Reynolds and the Friends of Air Force Basketball invited former
players and
coaches to the Annual Homecoming event this spring. A resounding
success. Basketball alumni from teams stretching from the Class
of '59 to last years Class of '09 attended. Photo will be up
soon. Thanks for coming!
You are invited to join members and guests of the Friends of Air
Force Basketball on a 7- Nights fundraising cruise to Alaska aboard Celebrity Cruises’ Infinity July
23-30, 2010 The FoAFB cruise has been
developed as a fundraising cruise for the USAFA Basketball team, so in addition
to spending a week of camaraderie with your friends and family in Alaska
onboard Celebrity Cruises’ Infinity, you will also be making a donation of
$50.00 [included in cruise fare] to the team...more (Go)

of our Falcon faithful made the trip to watch our AF Falcon Football
team beat Houston in the Armed Force Bowl on New Years Eve. Can
you identify these individuals who were there and cheering for our
Falcons? Hint...they are ALL Falcon Basketball player alumni!

Congratulations to Cadet Grant Parker, MWC POW: Grant
Parker, senior forward for the Falcons, was named the MWC Player of the
Week for games thru 29Nov09. Read the news article on 2Dec09 on
our basketball news! Pre-Game Receptions and Half Time The Friends of Air Force Basketball announces that it will again host both
the Pre-Game receptions and a get-together at half time. Pre-game receptions
will be held 5 times during the 2009-2010 basketball season with the first
scheduled for our opening game on November 13th against Western State. Pre-game
receptions will be held in the Hall of Excellence (Building directly west of
the Field House). Start times for the receptions will be approximately 1 1/2
hours prior to tip-off. Coaches will be available for opponent scouting reports.
Notifications will be be e-mailed informing all members of date/time of future
receptions. The Half-Time get togethers will be held for all home games. Beverages (wine,
beer, water and soda) along with chips etc will be available. Contributions will
be accepted. Should anyone desire to assist in assuring the success of this
event, please reply to this e-mail. We will have a volunteer listing at each

A NEW FOAFB WEBSITE PASSWORD FOR THE MEMBERS ONLY SECTION! A
new password for FoAFB 'members only' for the 2009-2010 season is in
effect today. If you are a current member for this season please

FoAFB welcomes our new
coach: USAFA graduate and former player Capt Tom Bellairs.
We
say goodbye and best wishes to Coach (Capt) Tyron Wright who now works
up on the hill but still stays close to the team. We welcome
'Tommy' Bellairs to his new role as assistant coach for our Falcons.
Anticipate Coach Bellairs will help our big men prepare for the
season with his experience playing 'center' for the Falcons. Read

A Successful Bus
Trip to watch our Falcons win over CSU
FoAFBB
organized the trip with over 50 members and they were met by
several carloads of Section 8. We definately tried to let it be
known that we were there to support our Falcons! Coach
Jeff Reynolds, in his post game interview, mentioned that Friends of
Air Force Basketball brought a bus full of people to the game. He
said that the players had mentioned how nice it was to have support in
the crowd.

Our website is here for you! We are
an organization which supports the United State Air Force
Academy Basketball team, the Falcons. Our
support for the team comes in many ways. Read
the welcome letter below from the President of Friends of Air Force

to become a ‘Friend’ yourself!
We
have organized our website to allow you to follow and support the
Falcons throughout their year as they play a demanding NCAA Division IA
schedule. Follow along with the Falcons on the team
link and news section. Our
extensive ‘Opponents’ links will allow you to follow our
team and the upcoming opponents as well. A ‘Special
Projects’ section will tell you what upcoming events are being
organized by the Friends and how you can participate or help with them.
We
hope you find this an informative and interesting site which allows
your support of the Falcons to grow into a long-term friendship with
